A tribute to my "Stinky" cat
Well last Friday was a hard day for me because one of my faithful friends has left this earth for a better place. Stinky (who's not really smelly) was always kind of grouchy, but I still love her with all of my heart. I will miss you begging for my food you little vulture. In tribute to her I put together these photos that show what a noble spirit she had. Sadly I didn't take them, but I thought they'd look nice together (Photoshop works miracles!). So Stinky I hope you never forget how much I, and my family loves and misses you, especially your sister Bubby. She will miss your naps and fights together.

Peggi the Purple Pegasus
I'm finally posting this picture even though I did it more than a couple of weeks ago. My co-worker Glenna Gomez and I were doodling in the deli part of the grocery store that I work. She challenged me to draw her a pegasus, but it was time for me to leave work so I decided to surprise her by painting a picture for her. It's definitely not my best work but it was fun to do an impressionistic looking piece.

In that sketchy mood again.....
I love it! don't you? I was feeling that aesthetic impulse again tonight, but this time I was determined to spend more time refining my picture. I loved the color of the woman's costume, and the playfulness of her pose. She was just begging to be drawn...
I mostly used an analogous color scheme with little accents of orange to bring some complementary colors into play. She was quite difficult to draw because I am better at drawing portrait pictures rather than full body pictures. I will be working hard so that I can be efficient in both the art of portraiture, and full figure drawing. Then I will feel quite the well rounded artist! :)
