A tribute to my "Stinky" cat

Well last Friday was a hard day for me because one of my faithful friends has left this earth for a better place.  Stinky (who's not really smelly) was always kind of grouchy, but I still love her with all of my heart. I will miss you begging for my food you little vulture.  In tribute to her I put together these photos that show what a noble spirit she had.  Sadly I didn't take them, but I thought they'd look nice together (Photoshop works miracles!). So Stinky I hope you never forget how much I, and my family loves and misses you, especially your sister Bubby. She will miss your naps and fights together.

Peggi the Purple Pegasus

I'm finally posting this picture even though I did it more than a couple of weeks ago. My co-worker Glenna Gomez and I were doodling in the deli part of the grocery store that I work. She challenged me to draw her a pegasus, but it was time for me to leave work so I decided to surprise her by painting a picture for her.  It's definitely not my best work but it was fun to do an impressionistic looking piece.

Whoooo loves watercolor??? ME! thats WHOO!

My feathered friend
Just like all my other artistic impulses....this idea hit me about 10:00 at night.  I used a picture my dad took at a zoo in Salt Lake City and put my own touch to it! I had the watercolor background done about a week before I started on my feathered friend.  I wanted to find the right subject to create with the background so I let my paper tell me what was there to begin with.  Haha I know I sound crazy right??? but if you just put whatever on a piece of paper without taking the time to care about the background your subject will suffer. Like my art teacher always told me The background is just as important as the subject if either are lacking the whole piece will suffer! Anyway hope you like my latest pic I sure do!

Watercolors!!!!!!! :D

My first rough draft
Finished project!
Well I got some watercolor paints this Christmas so I was dying to paint something.  One day I was doodling/sketching and I sketched the little guy on the top.  I liked the look of him so I revised him and ended up with the finished product on the bottom.  I'm not quite sure what he is..... a fox with cloud hair and tail??? who knows anything is possible these days.
